Delivering machinery to a power project in Ghana
Our cargo experts in India were contacted by a developer of critical energy infrastructure in Ghana, asking for help flying 163 tons of machinery to a combined cycle plant project in the southern city of Kumasi. With the consignment including several outsized pieces measuring up to 10 metres in length, we knew a specialist freighter was needed, but geopolitical tensions in the Middle East were disrupting global air cargo capacity. Confident we could still assist, we got straight to work on a bespoke solution.

Route: Hyderabad > Accra

Following several changes to the packing list, the client confirmed the final roster just seven days before their requested flight date.
We decided to split the cargo between two aircraft, sourcing a nose-loading freighter for the outsized items and a converted freighter for the remainder of the shipment.
Two external cranes were used to move the bulkiest items onto the nose-loading freighter, while smaller cargo was palletised for the second plane. Both flights were a success, delivering the crucial machinery to the power project in good time.
